Direct rig · 12 amps + acoustic · 18 stages
Thirteen rigs, four settings each — base tones only. The compressor supplies the power amp, the drive pedals supply the preamp, the Colour Box stays clean and supplies the tone stack, and the OX Stomp supplies the speaker and the room. Delay, reverb and modulation are bypassed on every preset and left for you to add. Frequencies and headroom figures come from the manufacturers’ published specifications.
Every entry is tagged with how that player actually reached the tone on the real amp. That matters most for clean settings: a Super Lead or a 2203 has no clean channel at all, so those players got clean by rolling the guitar's volume knob back on the same setting, and treating it as a separate clean patch gets you a tone the record never had. A rig has to sound like the amp, not like one player, so nothing here changes a base tone — every entry is a set of changes on top of a numbered preset. Most of these players used more than one amp, for rhythm versus lead or studio versus stage, so most entries map to two or three rigs. The first is the closest overall match; the others are places that player genuinely lives.
